cw: cursing, misidentity
She poured her charm
in a crystal cup,
told me, "Darling, drink me up."
She thought I’d fall—
and I did, I guess—
but not the way
she meant it, yes.
I liked her lips,
and I liked her laugh,
but not enough
to split in half.
She called it love.
I called it nice.
She turned my heart
to sugar ice.
Glass on the table, cold to the touch.
She wanted my everything— I don’t want that much.
Kiss me like lightning, then call it fate.
But babe, I'm just wired to walk away.
She wore red curtains like a crown,
thought she could pull my silence down.
But I don’t need
a queen to break—
I break just fine
for my own sake.
She said, "You're scared."
I said, "No shit."
Love never fit,
and never hit.
She wanted stories
I couldn't write,
I wanted quiet
on Friday nights.
Glass in my hand, raised high as fuck.
To every girl who calls it luck.
To the pretty ones I had to lose.
To the nights I lie, then change the tune.
You see, I love
in other hues.
Not red or pink—
just ocean blues.
I crave the bond,
but not the fire.
I’m not cold.
I’m just... wired.
So drink your wine,
and call me cruel.
I’ll never be
your sugar fool.
You’ll fall in love,
you’ll beg and chase—
but baby, I
don’t run that race.
Glass on my lips, nothing inside.
Just me, my truth, and borrowed pride.
She said, "Good luck." I said, "Eat shit."
This glass don’t break—it just sees it.
